New ACC InnoDrive System Available Soon

Porsche is making sure your drive is a little easier. With their new ACC InnoDrive System and navigation, all you'll have to do is steer.

Available soon on models like the Porsche Panamera, this updated cruise control features specialized monitoring systems.

Porsche's system "completely removes the driver's feet from the pedals. The car learns the route the driver takes complete with estimates of the speed limit, curves, and elevation changes and then translates that into data the car uses to completely control the pedals."1

ACC InnoDrive utilizes three modes: Comfort, Dynamic, and Off. Dynamic mode sees the pedals taken over by the car. The system will bring the car to a complete stop, slow down curves, and even knows the speed limit. All you just have to do is steer.

Porsche's goal is to create a car that, "constantly monitors speed, throttle, and other aspects for a smooth and comfortable ride that optimizes efficiency." The ACC InnoDrive hardware is a second ECU located in the trunk of the car. 2

The system be in production-ready in three years, and will be an optional add-on to all Porsche vehicles available at dealers like Bert Smith Porsche in St. Petersburg, FL.
