Road conditions are a thing of the past with the Carrera's new active suspension, which glides over anything that mother nature throws at it. Meanwhile, the direct-injection engine achieves that ever longed for incredible balance of fuel efficiency and power. The 911 may lack a turbocharged engine, but don't hold that against it. It can still pump out 408 horsepower from its 3.8-liter 6-cylinder engine. This beast packs 23 more ponies under the hood than the Carrera S does. Impressed yet?

Fear not, though luxury fans; for the 911 GTS isn't a complete stripped down racer. Rather, it brings many of the more recognizable comforts that we know and love in modern autos. For example, fine leather upholstery and cabin electronics are all there. And, the Bose sound system really triumphs when the sweet roar of the engine isn't what you're in the mood to hear.

And, just what does all this power and comfort cost for fuel? How does 18 mpg city/25 mpg highway sound? Pretty good, right? CNET reported an average mpg rating of about 17.5 mpg, but they also admitted to spending quite a bit of time in the vehicle's Sport mode.
